Bi Diyar is a contemporary art museum designed in Vanak Square, Tehran, Iran, exploring the question of belonging in contemporary society. Despite constant connectivity, people increasingly experience isolation, disconnection, and alienation.
The suspended cubes represent individuals living within fragmented social structures, while the unified volume beneath them symbolizes continuity, belonging, and coexistence. Their contrast forms the central narrative of Bi Diyar: the tension between fragmentation and belonging. At the heart of the project, a public plaza extends along Vanak Square, dissolving the boundary between city and museum. Stepped platforms create spaces for movement, pause, interaction, and collective experience.
Bi Diyar proposes architecture as a space where connection, dialogue, and belonging can be experienced anew.
