This space on the threshold of eras is not merely an embankment, but an architectural manifesto dedicated to the dialogue between the past and the future. The project breathes new life into a historic harbor, transforming it from an industrial zone into the dynamic heart of the city.
The concept draws direct inspiration from the site's rich history, recalling a time when dock life bustled and sailors walked along the shores. Consequently, the core element of the project is a striking red line.
More than just a decorative feature or pavement marking, this line serves as a visual metaphor for a ship's waterline, dividing the vessel in two. Within the context of the embankment, it acts as a deliberate boundary between land and water, city and nature, history and modernity.
This red pathway guides visitors across the entire territory — alternating between elevated wooden decking and sweeping underneath modern canopies — while constantly maintaining its course toward the main landmark: the vintage brick water tower. Standing tall as a beacon, it serves as an essential connecting link between the industrial heritage and the new functional space.
