Boutique hotel in Kolomna

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The bureau’s customer intends to open Kolomna’s first boutique hotel that adheres to modern standards. The site for the hotel is the ruins of a late 18th-century Baroque estate. The project's main goal is to restore the historical appearance of the building, drawing from archival materials provided by local restorers.
Due to the limited site size, the bureau designed an extension to the existing ruined building that integrates seamlessly with the historic surroundings. It will feature contemporary interiors, while the original structure will see the restoration of its walls and vaulted ceilings.
A standout element of the project is the preservation of a ruin wall in the courtyard, which will be encased in glass to serve as a striking architectural feature. The building was used for residential purposes until the 1970s and has a layered history, with construction phases from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
