The main objective set by the client was to maximize the panoramic view of the Volga River. To achieve this, we elevated the entire site—except for the garage and entrance—by 1 meter above road level. The concrete retaining walls not only serve an engineering function but also establish a clear geometry for the plot, emphasizing the horizontal plane. A lightweight comb-like fence delicately outlines the perimeter without obstructing either the water or the sky.
In the layout, all principal rooms—the double-height living room and the master bedroom with a balcony—are oriented toward the river. In the living room, a structural glass corner opens up two vistas at once: toward the embankment and toward the Samara skyline, making the city part of the interior.
The architecture adheres to a minimalist aesthetic. It comprises two distinct volumes shifted relative to each other: the main one housing the living room, and a more private one containing the bedroom. The palette is monochrome: light façades clad in large-format porcelain stoneware contrast with expansive aluminum glazing and graphite accents.
