Project:
Public building for 500 citizens at the Gulf of Finland
Category:
Best Project of Building or Facility by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant):
This public building is designed at the shore of the Gulf of Finland, one of the most beautiful places of the Leningrad Region, in a village located in the dense wood, on an artificial island.
Wave-like contours of the building connect its relation to water. It resembles a whale or a golden leaf that has fallen into the water. It is quite extended as it works as a bridge connecting two parts of the shore. Inside, there will be administrative premises, a first aid post, a large concert hall, co-working zones, workshops, conference room, a printing center and a gym intended for architects and designers residing in the village, a store, a restaurant, cloakrooms at the bottom and top levels, as well as educational art classrooms for children.
