About the project
The Bulgarian National Planetarium is conceived as a space for exploring the origin of life and time through scientific as well as day to day basis point of view in a sustainable manner with philosophical and practical approach.
It provides people knowledge through variety of activities including exibitions, models, workshops, classes, dioramas, star shows, and events.
It is located in Sofia, adjacent to the Botanical gardens. The overall volume is an «echo» of Vitosha mountain. It consists of four walkable green roofs/flower gardens, an amphitheater square, and a dome in its center. The program is divided into four essential parts: science and education centres, museum, and public space with restaurant and shops.
The building itself will turn the place into a new location for socialization, recreation and education attractive for visitors of different age groups giving it a new life characterized by well preserved natural environment and great potential for future development.
