About the project
CASA ALPINE is the product of an old house renovation on the countryside of São Francisco Xavier, in São Paulo, Brazil.
The client bought the land in which 2 old houses were built decades before. Both were in precarious conservation state.
The client requested the Architects to come up with a renovation design that would turn the abandoned main house into a luxury country house, integrated with the natural surroundings, but built according to the local construction techniques and using local materials available.
Paula Hooper, another Brazilian Architect and a collaborator at COLTRO Arquitetos is co-author of the CASA ALPINE design, along with Antônio Coltro.
