About the project (provided by the applicant)
Casa Aurora was born from the client’s desire: to reach the top of the residence in order to contemplate the landscape beyond the treetops. This aspiration guided not only the volumetry of the project but also its very essence. The name Aurora refers to the solar orientation of the house, which faces the sunrise.
Set on a 5,000 sq.m plot in Brumadinho (MG), the 400 sq.m residence integrates respectfully and harmoniously with nature. Surrounded by various species of the local flora, Casa Aurora proposes a fluid relationship between the built and the natural, with spaces that open to the outdoors without compromising privacy.
Designed by the firm Dhar Arquitetura, under the direction of architects Victor Carvalho and Luísa Lage, the project offers a contemporary interpretation of living in the forest, fully exploring the site’s horizontal and vertical axes. This strategy ensures broad views of the surroundings, cross ventilation, and an abundance of natural light.
