Casa Nara is a contemporary residence set on a steeply sloping site in Valinhos, São Paulo. The project uses the natural change in elevation to accommodate the garage and service areas on the lower level, freeing the main floor for living, leisure and integration with the landscape. Large concrete frames, pronounced cantilevers, brise-soleil and horizontal planes define its identity. The material palette combines exposed concrete, natural stone, wood, glass and metal, balancing solidity and lightness. Inside, the double-height spaces and large glazed openings connect the living room, dining area, kitchen, gourmet area, swimming pool and gardens. The landscaping plays an active role in the architecture, softening the volumes and enhancing the relationship between the interior and exterior. The house also incorporates solar shading, natural lighting, solar panels and an electric vehicle charger, combining comfort, functionality and architectural expression.
