About the project
Erasmo walks among the 1569 Franciscan buildings, through narrow cobbled streets, with the money from a hard day's work. On the sidewalk stands the north facade of his house, a series of recessed windows recall the gates of the old casonas that are still preserved in the region, a pure volumetry, white and rough to the touch due to the lime and sand. He hurries, reaches the corner and as every afternoon, he turns up and sends a kiss to his wife, who contemplates the town from the terrace, sheltered inside the triangle. He enters his patio, the smell of fruit trees floods the place, his steps on the grass cause his children to see him arrive from inside the house and run to hug him, together they enter through the sliding glass door, framed by white painted brick walls, which reminds him of his childhood home, the aroma of a freshly cooked meal greets him, it is his birthday, there is no better gift than being home.
