The project of the children's oncological center in St. Petersburg involves the creation of a specialized, full-cycle medical complex for the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and social support of children with oncological diseases. Designed for 195 beds and 10 day-hospital beds, the center is located in Pushkin, surrounded by natural landscapes.
The architectural concept is based on the image of hands: the treatment wings "embrace" the central building, shaping a secure, clear, and emotionally gentle environment. The complex integrates treatment, diagnostic, surgical, intensive care, educational, and rehabilitation facilities, alongside spaces for parents, play, art therapy, and walks. Special attention is dedicated to reducing hospital stress: landscaped courtyards, a usable green roof, and light-filled interiors help maintain a child's sense of safety, normalcy, and hope.
