The CINEMA cinematography exhibition pavilion, located adjacent to the Sovremennik Cinema in the city of Penza, is conceived as a modern cultural and public hub that establishes a unified space for cinematic art within the urban environment. The project enhances the significance of the existing cinema as a focal point and creates a new architectural landmark.
The building’s imagery is based on the concept of a filmstrip. The planning structure reproduces the shape of a camera shutter in a stylized and simplified form.
