City Moon Bridge responds to an urban rupture in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, where heavy traffic had made pedestrian movement at ground level nearly impossible. The project transforms this infrastructural necessity into an architectural experience, connecting two sides of the street while linking movement with the city, space, and landscape.Inspired by the moon, a circular geometry organizes three ramps around a central form, creating a fluid route between the street and surrounding green space. The elimination of stairs ensures universal accessibility, while changes in direction reveal varied views and moments for pause. The concept draws from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh and its narrative of order emerging from chaos. This idea is embedded in the bridge’s spatial logic, where each turn forms part of a larger sequence. Mirrored stainless steel reflects the surroundings, while illuminated points within the glass balustrades evoke the night sky, bringing movement, culture, light, and city together.
