About the project (provided by the applicant)
The fundamental idea was to drape interiors of Manege Central Exhibition Hall and conceal its architectural elements. This will provide a neutral background for sculptures and video projections.
Platforms for sculptures were made from light slag blocks covered with heavy fabric. Such structures are easy to assemble and are fireproof. The fabric had the same color as the floors, which helped integrate the platforms into the interior.
