Project
Restoration, Repair, and Adaptation of the Regional Cultural Heritage Site “House of Engineer-Technologist M.I. Danilevsky with Services and Green Spaces, 19th – early 20th centuries”

Best Implemented Project for Adaptation of a Cultural Heritage Site

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The building was constructed in 1911–1912 by Alexander Ivanovich Danilevsky. In 2022–2023, comprehensive scientific studies were conducted on the site, and project documentation was developed for restoration, repair, and adaptation works. At the time of the survey, the building’s condition was assessed as partially operable, with emergency areas. The wooden structures in areas affected by drainage damage and roof junctions showed a high degree of biological deterioration. Log structures exposed to constant moisture lost their load-bearing capacity.

Preservation work included replacing wood damaged by decay, restoring stucco and plaster façade decorations based on surviving samples, refurbishing plaster finishes, installing engineering communications, landscaping the site, and adapting the building for use as a public catering facility (restaurant).
