Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project was built with the intention of creating privacy and preventing anxiety for patients. The original entry path to the main space was altered to a vestibule in the new design in order to provide hygienic and sterile preparations. The circulation is defined from the entrance, and it’s extended to the rest of micro-spaces alongside the ceiling lighting and creates a soft arch close to the organic curves of the human body. The former kitchen has turned into a small pantry hidden behind the reception counter with direct access by a glazed glass wall to it. Each room has adapted a design relevant to the medical use. Therefore, all the walls and surfaces are considered to be minimal except for the wall behind the reception where a slab stone is used and shows reflection and texture and works as a gravity and focus point in the space. Furthermore, the medical green color has been used in a pastel tone next to forging seamless and smooth floors to generate a therapeutic space.
