The project is an architectural concept for a modern preschool institution with an enhanced natural-science and ecological component. The concept is based on a synthesis of traditional pedagogy rooted in connection with nature and innovative approaches to the organisation of the educational environment.
The key idea is the involvement of children in practical research activity through contact with living nature. For this purpose educational arboreta and educational kitchen gardens are provided. A year-round orangery serves as a living laboratory. The children’s rooms are designed as transformable spaces.
Master classes and lectures with invited scientists are held regularly. For this purpose an assembly hall and a music hall are equipped. A swimming pool, a sports hall and a dance hall complement the educational programme. The staff includes a speech therapist and a psychologist.
The building is constructed using eco-active materials.
