About the project (provided by the applicant)
A project of a culture center in a Moscow-based historical manor dating back to the 17th — 19th centuries, listed as cultural heritage. BOMBAR Bureau developed all their ideas, the functionality, and the concept of the new gallery from a scratch. The fundamental concept implies a connection of the past and the future by means of the present. Old basements were used to locate all the new engineering utilities. The fence around the manor was restored, and so were the brick vaulted ceilings. The old finishings were renewed, and mosaics from the 1980s were preserved. They aren’t subject to protection by the state today, but the authors are sure that one day they will be.
