About the project (provided by the applicant)
This proposal is the author’s take on the hippodrom designed by architect Konstantin Lygin and built in 1906. She studied the key characteristic elements of that old projects, namely V-shaped and single-pitch roofs, simple shapes, carved and painted wood, grey and natural wood colors. The atmosphere of a pastoral rancho was combined with state-of-the-art methods and with due regard to the existing urban context.
Existing buildings will be demolished and replaced with 5 new buildings connected with a gallery plus 4 standalone facilities.
