About the project (provided by the applicant)
Erebuni Fortress is a historical memorial — ruins of an old Urartu town founded by King Argishti I in 782 BC. The fortress was used for military purposes but also was a center of administrative activities. In the early 20th century, archeologists found the old ruins, and in 1986 the Erebuni History Museum was opened. The Museum is an essential location where the history of the Urartu civilization is studied, and that’s why it is so attractive to researchers, archeologists, and tourists from different countries.
