Project
Project for Reconstruction of Interiors of the Former Meyer Rope Yard in Pskov, Rearrangement into a Hotel.

Nomination
Best Project of Public Space

About the project
The designers used the historical background as a guide: the rope yard prospered during the industrial revolution times that featured economic growth, industrialization, and enhancement of living standards. Architectural solutions of that times comprised structural elements of cast iron, steel, and glass, which found their places in the project.

The designer didn’t just copy the traditional style, but transformed it in terms of new technologies and finishing materials. Against light marble floors and the crystal reception stand, delicate cast iron columns and lacy metal staircases look rather spectacular. Theroombecamemorelightandspacious.
The initial function of the building is visible in all the premises of the hotel.
