Project
Facades for the new Kremlin Museum

Category
Best Implemented Façade or Interior Project Using Ceramics

About the project
The new Kremlin Museum stands within the cultural heritage site protected by UNESCO. The outer historic building of the Middle Shopping Street is almost laced, whereas the new block within matches it with a slower and calmer rhythm. 9-meter high windows work as an outer display, connecting the street between the two blocks with the public space of the semibasement.
The new building facades are clad with glazed ceramic bricks. Somewhere, the even lines of brick cladding are interrupted by decorative panels made of irregularly shaped ceramic pieces.
