A family‑friendly restaurant

The restaurant interior continues the signature aesthetic of the Marcellis chain, while interpreting it through the character of the historic building in Gatchina. The existing brickwork and wooden beams were preserved and incorporated into the overall design, combined with decorative plaster, a seamless poured floor, brass details, and a warm palette of olive, terracotta, and honey tones.

Ceramics became the main artistic element of the interior. Hand-painted panels, ceramic inserts in the bar counters, fragments of broken ceramics used in the finishes, and especially the character-like figurines create a distinctive visual language and refer to Italy — its landscapes, harvest traditions, family culture, and everyday life. In Gatchina, the ceramic figures were given a new interpretation: placed in the wall sections between the windows, including on illuminated brass discs, they emphasize the architectural rhythm and become symbolic guardians of the space.

As a result, the interior remains warm, welcoming, and family-oriented, while preserving the identity of the brand and its connection to the location.
