About the project (provided by the applicant)
In September 2023, the largest Russian school was opened in Voronezh. There, students are simultaneously taught in 110 classes! Inspired by the theme of cosmos, it has become an art object and a regional landmark. The school was designed as an orbital base with compartments, food galleys, a cosmic atrium, and celled facades.
Many innovative design and architectural solutions were applied, including non-linear schedules and no corridors. Several cafes can easily feed 1,000 students during one recess. Thanks to partitions that separate cafes from each other can be removed to have the lunchroom and the recreation lounge connected into some kind of a coworking area.
