About the project (provided by the applicant)
Aracaju, the capital of the state of Sergipe in Brazil, is a city full of natural and cultural charm. A notable example of this splendor is the restaurant of a historic house that has been transformed into the magnificent Couloni Gallery. The name «Couloni» alludes to the name of the Aracaju macaw, reflecting the rich biodiversity of the region. Located across the majestic Sergipe River, the gallery is a symbol of cultural preservation and appreciation. The unique shape of the macaw was meticulously incorporated into the design of the building. The vibrant colors of the macaw's plumage are reflected in the color palette of the building, bringing life and joy to the urban landscape. In addition, the gallery serves as a visual reminder of the natural wealth that we need to protect and preserve. The architecture celebrates the local biodiversity, providing a space where art, culture and nature harmoniously coexist.
