The project represents an Orthodox church complex imbued with deep symbolism. The five-domed church, with one central dome rising above the others, symbolizes Christ as the head of the Church and the four Evangelists, emphasizing spiritual unity. The silver color of the domes evokes purity and holiness, endowing the structure with a sacred character.
The helmet-shaped dome refers to the biblical words of the Apostle Paul about spiritual armor, symbolizing protection and faith. The cruciform layout of the complex reflects Christian symbolism and conveys profound spiritual meaning. The configuration of the volumes resembles the silhouette of a ship — a reference both to the historical context of the island site and to the biblical image of the ship as a symbol of salvation and the journey of faith.
