I designed a kindergarten that has it all: a swimming pool, physical education and assembly halls, hobby rooms, a winter garden, and an atrium filled with live greenery. No "soviet-style" bare minimum, no narrow functionality typical of private schools—only a full-scale, serious, and joyful environment.

Instead of a standard rectangle, it features a block structure. Each volume (the group room, gym, swimming pool) is positioned according to its own requirements, connected by staircases, galleries, and terraces. Colorful blocks and a free rhythm of windows ensure that the architecture itself fosters spatial reasoning and a sense of beauty in children.

The building is integrated into an ellipse, with an earthen mound built up along its perimeter. This provides noise protection, creates a playful landscape (for running, jumping, and sledding in winter), and serves as my metaphor: "a kindergarten is a city behind the wall of a harsh world." Inside the ellipse lies a safe children's city filled with playgrounds and activities.

My project is not just a building, but an educational tool that works through the quality of space. A bold yet calculated piece of architecture for the Golden Trezzini Awards.
