Gorod-na-Ozere ("City-on-the-Lake") is a new landmark for Novosibirsk. The master plan is based on three core principles—lakeside orientation, connectivity, and multifunctionality—transforming the formerly isolated industrial floodplain of the Kamenka River into a vibrant urban center.
A high-rise frontage along the main thoroughfares shields the interior spaces from noise, while cascading building heights and terraced landscaping open up vistas and create pedestrian levels and observation decks. Lake Verkhovoye serves as the primary anchor: it will be remediated and landscaped, featuring distinct natural and urban embankments. The development will feature grand architecture and diverse residential typologies, an active landscape, shopping and business centers, and retail—concentrating all the amenities of a modern metropolis in a single location.
