House with Greek motifs

We worked on this house from a clean slate. There were old buildings on the site; they were demolished, and from there we thought through everything—from the architecture and landscape to the interior and decor. We designed the entrance group, a canopy that becomes part of the facade, and considered what the furniture should be like and which works of art would bring this house to life.

The house grew to three stories, although it was originally conceived as a two-story building. The first level houses a classic common area with a living room, kitchen, and dining room; the second floor contains bedrooms and relaxation areas. We also added a two-level library that goes downward, turning into a double-height space with an underground extension. The lower level contains a playroom, a cinema room, and utility rooms. And although a terrace from the master bedroom was not originally planned for the inner facade—only a canopy for the first-level relaxation area was intended—when we stepped onto the poured canopy and saw the opening view, the decision came naturally: the second-floor terrace became a necessary extension of the bedroom.
