About the project (provided by the applicant)
According to the 2019 World Economic Forum, climate change is the most critical global threat. In 2018, buildings consumed 36% of global energy, with 22% from residential buildings. The project aims to design a residential complex focusing on natural ventilation to reduce energy consumption. Additional goals include enhancing environmental quality and considering local climatic factors. High humidity, especially during summer, is a key challenge, leading to increased energy use for moisture removal. The design incorporates innovations like movable wing walls, voids between floors, and low heat capacity materials like cement and wood. The complex, built on 8,148 square meters, consists of 14 blocks with 61 units, including a sports club. Design strategies such as external staircases, setbacks, pilotis, dual windows placed at a distance, and balconies improve airflow, ensuring natural ventilation in all living spaces while enhancing visual and physical openness.

I recently completed my Master’s in Architecture at the University of Guilan, where I focused on sustainable design and the importance of thorough research before starting any project. My thesis explored natural ventilation to reduce energy consumption, reflecting my interest in renewable energy. I prioritize interdisciplinary research, particularly in areas like architecture, marketing, psychology, and sustainability, and have published articles on these topics.
