The Georgy Guryanov Museum-Apartment is dedicated to the Russian artist, drummer of the band Kino, and St Petersburg’s ultimate dandy. The apartment where he spent the last 13 years of his life also served as a social salon, photo studio, painter’s workshop, venue for DJ sets, and repository for valuable works of art.
Guryanov’s celebrated dandyism was also reflected in his everyday life. The apartment on Liteyny Avenue became his largest creative project. As in his art, he constantly strived for his own ideal: restoring the parquet flooring, revealing the original stucco, artistically treating the walls, and collecting and restoring luxurious antique furniture.
The main principle of the museum exhibition is to preserve the authentic appearance and atmosphere of the space created by Georgy himself. The exhibition reveals the richness and diversity of his legacy, comprising tens of thousands of objects. Each artefact has its own story, an integral part of the narrative that reveals new facets of this extraordinary figure and the scale of his personality.
38/1 Liteiny Ave., Saint Petersburg, Russia
The Georgy Guryanov Museum-Apartment is the first private cultural institution dedicated to the life and work of this prominent figure in contemporary art. The museum was founded by Georgy Guryanov’s sister, Olga Konstantinovna Chernova, and opened on 27 February 2026 — the day Guryanov would have turned 65. The museum team is engaged in a wide range of educational activities: in addition to guided and curator-led tours of the apartment, it organizes educational lectures and musical evenings at partner venues.
