This proposal offers a method of urban development by readjustment of old buildings into infrastructural facilities.
Tambov is known for degradation and criminalization of its historic districts, as well as for lack of amenities. The author wanted to solve both problems and create a good living environment for the locals. The master layout of Tambov designed in 1939 suggested that it had to be a garden city, but because of the Great Patriotic War this plan wasn’t implemented. However, inspired with that concept, Ms. Zhorkina made a project with an extensive green boulevard alond Lermontovskaya Street.
