An artist lives in this studio apartment in the very heart of St. Petersburg, and its interiors are a fusion of contemporary art and spirit of the past. 

The double-deck window sill with a storage box alludes to interior design of Alexander Menshikov’s palace and makes a great place for work and rest. A two-way drawer is hidden in the desk — old Russian noblemen used such boxes to take gifts and bribes. The genuine pattern of the really posh window in the guest area was left untouched, and the furniture features patterns typical for the frescos found at the Severnaya Dvina River.
