The design project for the museum and educational complex on the grounds of the memorial «In Memory of Soviet Civilians — Victims of Nazi Genocide» is dedicated to preserving historical memory and reflecting upon the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War. The architectural concept draws upon the theme of "shards," echoing the sculptural language of the existing memorial and the monuments of the Green Belt of Glory. Two volumes—housing the museum and the educational center respectively—are linked by an underground passage, creating a striking silhouette visible from the Kiev Highway. The exhibition layout is structured as an emotional journey from darkness to light: visitors traverse spaces symbolizing destruction, loss, and hope, culminating in a reflection hall overlooking the memorial. The architecture employs a vocabulary of austere, monumental forms, utilizing light, concrete, and metal as mediums for artistic expression. Integrating museum, educational, and public functions, the complex establishes a profound space for remembrance, dialogue, and enlightenment.
