About the project
The designed house saves a spot on the ground and offers a permanent view of the Sea of Japan. It is cut into the almost vertical slope with the underground temperature of about 19.5 degrees Centigrade, which significantly reduces heating costs.
Minimalism is everywhere – from the laconic structure of reinforced concrete to the interiors. The main highlight of the house is the glass wall with a panoramic vista of the sea. To get into the house, you’ll need to take a lift down and enter through the massive rotating door.
The authors were inspired with the forts in the Vladivostok Fortress – the underground casemates dug in the hills, with lots of tunnels and galleries.
