The project is developed in an environment where vernacular architecture is an integral part of the region’s history and cultural identity. Traditional buildings, constructed with native materials and following techniques passed down from generation to generation, give the area a unique charm. However, as the world advances, contemporary architecture has emerged as an expression of current needs and aspirations.
The key to this project lies in finding a balance between both styles without sacrificing the essence of either. Instead of trying to impose one over the other, a harmonious and respectful fusion was chosen.
The described architectural project is an example of how the fusion of vernacular and contemporary architecture can result in a unique and significant work. By appreciating this project, the importance of valuing architectural and cultural heritage is recognized, while achieving innovation and contemporaneity.

Creative Union Network
Daniel Idrovo Vintimilla (Ecuador) and Timothy Mitanidis (Canada) came together in 2005 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, to create Creative Union, a multidisciplinary architecture office.
Our goal was to connect a large number of professionals from various disciplines to provide high-quality services tailored to the specific needs of each project. The interconnected nature of the office’s structure was the driving force and the origin of our name, Creative Union Network.
