About the project
Idegey is the most well-known epic poem of the Tatar people based on the real events that happened when the Golden Horde was coming to its end. The viewers are presented a story about states and their kings fighting, about Great Khans and people of character. Heroism or fear, love for Homeland and will to win, being honest or being fair — these are the paradoxes of life they tell about. The play is a dedication to the 1,100th Anniversary of Volga Bulgaria adopting Islam.
