Prince Lev Nikolaevich Myshkin, having not fully completed a course of treatment for idiocy abroad, returns to Russia. During his acquaintance with the young courtesan Nastasya Filippovna, the Prince witnesses the dark reverse side of high society, which hides its sins and vices under a mask of social well-being. Caught in a whirlwind of conspiracies and intrigues, Myshkin becomes an active participant and realizes that reality is far more diseased than his own body…

The Perm Academic Teatr-Theatre is one of the oldest theatres in the Perm region. Founded in 1927, it has grown from a semi-professional youth collective (TRAM — Theatre of Working Youth) without a permanent stage into a nationally renowned multi-genre repertory theatre operating on two stages, one of which is equipped with unique mechanics unmatched in Russia.
