Project
Interior design of a city library
Category
Best Design of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project focuses on a multifunctional, large-scale space and its strategic zoning. The space is divided into the primary volume – a rectangular parallelogram with stained glass glazing – and accent towers. This layout establishes a functional and stylistic distinction between the library’s buildings.
The separation is driven by the contrasting spatial characteristics and functions of inner zones. The inviting entrance area is designed to attract new patrons, encouraging them to spend their leisure time in a culturally enriching way and fostering their interest in learning. This redefines the conventional concept of a "library."
