About the project (provided by the applicant)
The center for restoration of museum pieces was designed in compliance with science-based methods. It has got diagnostic laboratories and a workshop where special package is made and where the pieces can be disinfected before they are sent to temporary exhibitions. A special storage system was provided where the atmosphere is specially controlled. Moreover, there is a studio where the pieces can be digitalized — this way, all of them can be added to the data base of museum collections and to get virtual tours ready. The proposal combines conventional and innovative approaches, and that’s why it will definitely help with research, registration, and extensive use of many listed museum pieces.
