About the project
This was the second time when the theater used a play by Eugne Ionesco. In 2022, they staged his Exit the King, and now they chose the Rhinocéros. All the events are absurd, they seem fantastic and senseless. The audience understands what’s going on but can’t figure why. Affected by outer and inner conditions, people change irreversibly. They become stupid, aggressive, and tough-skinned beast – like a rhino. Can anyone resist it? This is a play about social convention, humanness in relations, fear of change, and zealotry, of course.
