About the project
This 4km long landscape is the first step of the city’s docklands redevelopment. The project rehabilitates microhabitats and links two indigenous eco-system corridors. The design maintains traces of the site’s various histories. A former ship building site retains a rich palimpsest and supports inclusive and diverse open spaces and activities. Three ancient port sites have been identified and developed as active cultural nodes.
The design introduces an extensive array of leisure programs to the city. A 4km jogging track links numerous sports and fitness opportunities. Another path connects playgrounds, skate park, plazas and various unprogrammed flexible spaces.
