About the project
The design concept features a confrontation of two dragons, impersonating one of the oldest China’s cultural symbols. The first dragon is represented by red lamps under the ceiling of the theater main hall. The dragon invites people to dive into the unknown. The walls and the facades are transformable so that the hall can be viewed from the street.

The second dragon is represented by the underground facilities that surround the theater hall and repeat traditional four-cornered atrium yards, housing a food court, a costume studio, workshops, media studios, as well as service and technical premises. Bamboo in the yards makes the visitors feel close to nature even in the center of the city.
