Category Best Project of Building or Facility by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant) The hotel complex in Kirovsk is located on a site with challenging terrain, linking residential areas with the lakeside promenade. It is intended for travelers and athletes, offering panoramic views of the mountains and the lake, and includes a sports block with a swimming pool. The hotel rooms are connected by an atrium that serves as a public space and opens onto the lake. Thanks to the building’s orientation perpendicular to the shoreline and the “stepped façade” design, every room overlooks either the lake or the mountains. The inner gallery on the first and second floors functions as a warm passage, connecting the upper and lower squares as well as the functional blocks. It also forms part of the route between the city and the lake. Panoramic glazing visually integrates the interiors with the surrounding landscape and creates a glowing effect during the polar night.
