Project
Kissaten coffee shop
Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project
The coffee shop is located in the northern part of the Japanese Garden – the world’s largest zen garden out of Japan, not far from the restaurant, the Kagami-ike mirror pond, and the Tahoto Pagoda. Kissaten is a traditional Japanese coffee shop that offers its customers beverage and light meals.
The interiors feature a new take on soft minimal aesthetics and wabi sabi rules. Wood is the principal material here, complemented by the light shade palette, natural texturized materials, geometric patterns, and handmade elements.
