About the project
The temple has got three levels. The lower part is a memorial, inspired by the burial mounds typical in this region. The authors of the project wanted their design to represent the tragedy of war, to make people realize that war brings suffering, grief, and death instead of life. The memories of the fallen soldiers showcased in the temple will be the reason for people to confess. Remember, the Savior expects us to love our enemies, not only our neighbors.
