Project
Roe Deer

Nomination
Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art

About the project
Roe Deer is a new diner at Karavannaya Street 24-26, which used to be a family residence of Counts Guryev. The idea of the new project belongs to Anna Khmelnitskaya and Mikhail Fenichev, creators of Glass in the Bottle. The diner serves up Russian cuisine – pancakes with pike caviar, cabbage crumble hangover soup with smoked ribs, Ladoga pike perch, beef stroganoff on Borodinsky bread and Guryev’s porridge, which Count Guryev invented in this very house. The interior was designed by Anna Delgyado from Architectural Bureau 11 (Wineglass in the Bottle, La Perla SeafoodBar, PirOGI). It features light wooden surfaces, laconic furniture, open brickwork, a dark ceiling, and a large bar counter. The key element of the decor is a Soviet-era mosaic, which the team found at a weaving mill in the suburbs of Moscow, and then brought it to St. Petersburg and installed here.

Location
St. Petersburg, Karavannaya Street 24.
