"Kulturama": Adaptation of a cultural heritage site into an educational creative cluster
“Kulturama” is an educational creative cluster opened in the historic building of the House of Educational Institutions in Memory of 19 February 1861 — an object of cultural heritage, an Art Nouveau monument of 1911–1912.
The project returns to the building its historic cultural and educational mission, uniting education, theatre, museum, sport and creativity. Today, on an area of 5,000 sq. m, a school, a kindergarten and more than ten creative programmes for children and adults operate. Here are located a museum of the history of the House, a library, sports and dance halls, a multifunctional theatre venue, a café with coworking space and a transformer courtyard.
In the course of adaptation the historic structural scheme, stair flights and fragments of railings were preserved, and the appearance of the façades was restored. Modern engineering systems and a barrier-free route have been carefully integrated into the structure of the monument, while the functional interior in the Scandinavian style and biophilic design create a calm background for the new life of the building.

About the Applicant
“Kulturama” is an educational creative cluster opened in 2025 in the building of the former House of Educational Institutions. The organisation unites projects in the fields of education, culture and art, creates conditions for the operation of a school, a kindergarten, creative workshops and residents, as well as for the holding of theatrical, concert and public events. At the heart of its activity is the careful development of the historic building as a modern cultural and educational centre.
