Project “Lyodina” Restaurant on the Shore of Lake Ladoga
Best Architectural Project Created with Hand-Drawn Graphics
About the project (provided by the applicant) The “Lyodina” restaurant project is an architectural metaphor for the dialogue between humans and the harsh nature of the North. The building, resembling a giant iceberg washed ashore by the waves of Lake Ladoga, blends organically into the landscape. Its core idea is minimal intervention in nature and maximum harmony with it.
Sharp, clean lines of the façades made of glass and concrete reflect the sky and water, changing perception depending on weather and time of day. Panoramic glazing blurs the boundary between the interior and the vast lake, offering guests a continuous visual connection with the water, rocks, and the iconic Ladoga sunsets.
