About the project
Many pieces were handmade for this project, including windows, doors, furniture, lamps, ornamental wooden panels, and even some of the sanitary ware were made right at the construction site by local craftsmen. Specially designed unique ornament featuring various local timber species – kempas, teak, milla, sapu, coco, and mahogany instantly catches the eye and reflects the location, its zest and climate. Although the project implies abundance of bright textiles and sophisticated wooden objects, the interior is balanced by simple solutions for floor and ceiling finishing.
